Everything you need to get good, from your first chase to your first Crown.

How to play

Each chase has two parts. First the radar: tap a road to route your truck to the south-east side of the storm, where warm air flows in, while avoiding the red hail core. Then the Final Approach: steer along the road, drop the pod ahead of the tornado’s track, and take the photo when it is in the sweet spot.

After the chase you get cash, parts and XP, a chance at a Codex entry, and sometimes a hidden technique.

Beginner tips

A few habits make a big difference early on.

  • Aim ahead of the storm: storms drift north-east, so route to where it will be.
  • Use highways. Dirt roads turn to mud in the rain.
  • Stop for a moment before the photo; a steady truck takes a sharper frame.
  • Take the free chase when your fuel is empty. Same skill, and it still pays.
  • Upgrade the Fuel Depot first if you play in long sessions, the Lab if you want levels faster.

Fuel, in plain words

A Priority chase uses 3 fuel and pays full rewards. Fuel refills by itself, one every six minutes. Free chases never need fuel and pay 70%. Shards can refill fuel up to three times a day.

Teams and the Crown

Join a team to add your points to a weekly total. The best team each week takes the Crown, and its leader issues an edict for the Region. See the multiplayer page for the details.
